The legal fight between Microsoft and Google over Kai-Fu Lee could be resolved without a trial if Google will agree to make permanent the terms of a preliminary injunction issued in the case yesterday, according to Microsoft. Lee is a former Microsoft vice president who was hired by Google earlier this year, prompting a fight with Microsoft over whether the move violated a noncompete agreement Lee signed in 2000.
