Redmond (WA) - Next Tuesday’s security update from Microsoft will fix six vulnerabilities, including four crticial remote code execution holes.

The four critical vulnerabilities that will be patched are all related to possible remote code execution. One deals with a problem in Internet Explorer, and another fixes a similar error in Outlook Express and Windows Mail. The other two deal only with the Windows operating system. A rating of critical means the vulnerability could potentially be exploited without any specific user action.

The June update will also patch a problem with Microsoft’s Office and Visio software that could allow hackers to gain remote access to an affected user’s PC. Microsoft has labeled this as an "important" vulnerability. There’s also a moderate vulnerability regarding Windows, which could result in information disclosure, and will be fixed in next week’s update.

The security update will be available on June 12, and will be posted on the Microsoft Download Center as well as through the Microsoft Update platform.
