Microsoft Will Invest in Honduras

Microsoft Corporation opened a new office in Tegucigalpa, Honduras on Saturday and announced that it will invest $70 million in Honduras over the next five-year period. Microsoft reportedly plans to sell and distribute products throughout Central America through this new office, as well as in other yet-to-be announced city distribution points in Honduras. Microsoft's General Manager for Honduras and El Salvador, Mauricio Iteriano, was quoted as saying, "Our goal is to be involved in this country's modernization. We realize the need to create jobs, revitalize the economy and attract new investment in Honduras."
