The Archos 404 Camcorder
Those who have had a hard time finding a gift for their gadget-loving friends or family members would do well to consider the Archos 404 Camcorder.
The Archos 404 Camcorder is a rather strange looking camcorder, a will appeal to anyone with a love of multifunctional devices. It has a strange form for a camcorder, which should come as no surprise as it is a variant of the Archos 404. Archos have been responible for a long line of media players, and the Archos 404 Camcorder includes all of the functionality of other Archos player, while adding the features of a traditional camcorder. The 3.5 inch widescreen display makes it perfect not only for recording video but for watching and showing off the results around the tree on Christmas day. Its small size means it is easily portable, so it can be at the ready for any event. It can also be used to take pictures, with a 1.3 megapixel resolution, listen to music and watch videos transfered onto its 30GB hard-drive. Its excellent battery life only adds to its appeal.
These features can be a blessing for online shoppers, as the Archos site is excellent for last minute gift purchases. Archos have an excellent postage record, with their products taking around 2 days to deliver with their standard option. Those who have had problems deciding what to get for their nearest and dearest this Christmas should seriously consider the Archos 404 Camcorder. It is a versatile gift that impresses with its array of features and interesting design.

While the article is weak on the technical details of each player, my main concern is that it fails to mention the Archos 605 Wifi which beats the two siblings you did review (the 404 and 705) hands down.
In addition the review includes the two year old Cowon A2 at a time when its successor had already started shipping (the A3).
Perhaps a follow up with these two players included?
