Technical problems at Mastercard has affected thousands of customers transactions over the last week.
Originally thought to only have experienced difficulties on Saturday the 29th of September, MasterCard said in a statement to The Register that it had experienced technical problems associated with issuing bank submitted data on the 25/26 September which were responsible for the delay in transactions on those dates.
Processing service provider, Streamline insisted that with 94% of transactions going ahead uninterrupted only a small number of customers’ cards were affected.
Streamline are nearly certain that the problem has been solved but, according to their status page, “will confirm this with a further update to this page when we have confirmation from all parties”
