Marantz rolls out 1080p projector

Engadget has posted a brief article about Marantz’s new projector capable of displaying high definition video in 1080p (1920x1080 progressive) resolution video. The Marantz VP-11S1 has a Konica Minolta lens, 6500:1 contrast ratio and is rated for 700 ANSI lumens brightness.
The projector is currently sold only in Japan. The pleasure of watching 1080p video through the projector does not come cheap : The device is priced at about $15,300.
