The Logitech G9 takes sensitivity seriously
The G9 also has on-the-fly management of sensitivity, with buttons to allow you to increase and decrease the sensitivity of the mouse as you go. This is exceptionally important to allow you to tailor the mouse’s sensitivity to the task you’re performing – for gaming 3200dpi might provide the kind of twitch-sensitivity you want, but when browsing an excel spreadsheet you’ll want a lot less. Three LEDs let you know the current sensitivity and you can define up to five different settings via the mouse’s drivers.
The similarities with the Side Winder don’t stop there as it’s also possible to adjust the weight of the mouse. A small tray is placed below the removable case, inside which you can place four weights of the eight supplied which are 7 and 4 grams. This gives you a lot more flexibility in adjusting the weight of the G9 than the Side Winder. You can have your mouse weigh in at between 118 and 146 grams, giving you more leeway to get the perfect fit for yourself.
The skates on the G9 are fixed. They are extremely large and are considerably more effective than those of the Side Winder, (even with their Teflon skate) and give much better glide. Be warned though - we weren’t kidding with that “special occasion” recommendation. These skates are impossible to replace in the case of severe wear and tear.
The G9 case is detachable. This is because the mouse comes with not one, but two cases. One is an anti-slip rough-feeling plastic, mostly aimed at gamers and their sweaty palms (from gaming intensely, you understand); while the other is a smooth plastic case with a more pleasant shape for less intense use.

^ err ok
The formatting on that is appalling! You can hardly tell which mouse they're talking about!!!
I agree with mi1ez - the article jumps back and forth between mice comparison with no warning, I am often lost as to which one I am reading about.
I managed to follow it fairly easily... still I'd rather see them put something up against the 4000 dpi beast that is the Razer Lachesis *pets his Lachesis while submitting comment*
