Journalist's LG laptop explodes
First it was an exploding phone and now it’s an exploding laptop. It’s not been a good couple of months LG.
Recently, a Korean man was killed while at work in a quarry. His co-worker found him dead with a melted mobile phone in his shirt pocket. He later confessed to accidentally killing him by reversing an excavator into him.
Although we’re not sure that LG will get out of this one so easily. On Wednesday it was reported that a Korean journalist’s LG laptop had burst into flames.
The man claimed his laptop started to emit smoke and then suddenly burst into flames. Fortunately nobody was injured and LG has said that it is investigating the problem along with LG Chem, the makers of the type of battery in question.
LG has not released what model laptop was involved in the incident.
In a statement, LG was quotes as saying “under normal usage conditions, this type of problem should not occur”
