Europe to Get LG Optimus Black By End of May
Dual-core smartphones aren't quite the status quo just yet, which means manufacturers are more than happy to trot out single-core phones alongside their more highly-regarded dual-core offerings.
LG this past weekend confirmed that that its Optimus Black smartphone will see a European release before the end of this month. Set for availability on T-Mobile, the phone boasts a 1GHz TI OMAP3 CPU and a 4-inch NOVA display, along with a 5-megapixel camera, 2GB of storage (expandable to 32GB via our old friend MicroSD), and Android 2.2. Sleek and sexy, it measures in at an impressive 9.2 mm thick and weighs just 109g.
A North American release is planned for later in the year, while pink and white versions of the phone will launch in Europe next month. No word on pricing or carrier plans just yet, but we'll keep you posted.
