The LG Optimus 3D’s UK release date might still be up in the air but elsewhere in Europe, the device is launching today.

Earlier this week, it was reported that despite being announced months ago, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the LG Optimus 3D had been pushed back to a July release. Though a reason for the delay was not given, Amazon told ITProPortal that even the new release date, which says the phone will arrive in the second week of July, is not ‘set in stone.’ Whatever the reason for the UK delay, it’s not affecting the rest of Europe. LG announced the arrival of the Optimus 3D to Europe today.

"The phone will be available in Europe first, and then in more than 60 markets around the world over the next several weeks," the company said in its press release, mentioning nothing about UK availability.

Originally set to launch in late April, the device runs Android 2.2 and features a dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor; a 4.3-inch, 480x800, 3D-capable touchscreen display; dual 5-megapixel cameras; 8GB of storage (expandable to 32GB); 512MB of RAM; 2D video capture (1080p@24fps) and 3D video capture (720p@30fps); MicroUSB; Bluetooth 3.0; WiFi and GPS.

Pricing for the phone is not yet clear, but Crave reports that it’s currently ranging from £454.80 to as much as £524.99. We’ll update when we get official pricing and release dates from carriers themselves.
