Shipments Of AMOLED Panels Tops 2.7 Million Units In Q2
Shipments of AMOLED panels exceeded 2.7 million units in the second quarter of 2008, with Samsung SDI accounting for more than 90% of the shipments, according to Displaybank. In terms of applications, handsets accounted for more than 90% of total shipments of AMOLED panels in the second quarter, the research firm revealed, adding that plans to adopt AMOLED panels, increase in demand for them and early conditions of their market penetration have been smoother than expected.
