New Interoute service designed to ease pressure on corporate networks

by - source: Tom's Hardware UK

Interoute, the owner of Europe’s most advanced next-generation voice and data network, has launched a service which allows users to send very large file attachments without clogging up their inboxes.

Interoute Express works using an online distribution platform ; the files can then be downloaded whenever the recipient chooses.

The content is sent via a link in the email which avoids the usual bounce-back you get from large attachments. It not only prevents both your in and outboxes from becoming clogged, but ensures the recipient recieves the whole attachment.

According to a survey commissioned by Interoute and carried out by LM Research and Marketing, attachments in employees inboxes are putting a serious strain on corporate networks. Because the files are delivered through Interoute’s network, it eases the strain on the organisations server.

Figures revealed in the survey said that 45% of people in offices sent between five and ten email attachments everyday with a further 31 percent sending up to twenty a day.
