Intel Slashes Processor Prices Up to 48%
Intel has cut prices for some of its chips by a substantial amount. With reductions of up 48 percent, the company Sunday cut prices of its Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Pentium dual-core, Celeron and Xeon chips.

It’ll be interesting to see how AMD will react to this news. With cuts to the Q9400, and Q8300, it doesn’t look like the company will have much choice to drop its prices and try to match the competition.
