HannStar Display plans to cut its LCD monitor panel prices by between 15-20% in the third quarter, on slow market demand. It may also postpone installing equipment at its sixth-generation (6G) TFT LCD plant, depending on market trends, according to company chairman Yu-chi Chiao at yesterday’s investors conference.
