Halo 3 at the centre of multi-million dollar lawsuit
Redmond (WA) - If Halo 3 has caused your Xbox 360 to crash, then you’ve experienced the complaint behind a new class-action lawsuit targeted at Microsoft and Bungie.
Plaintiff Randy Nunez is seeking class-action status for a lawsuit he filed against the two game companies, alleging that Halo 3 "routinely, consistently, and systematically ’froze’, ’crashed’, or ’locked up’" the system.
Nunez says these factors cause the system to be "totally inoperable" as a result of playing Halo 3. He alleges that because of these play issues, the game is defective and should be noticed as such by the courts.
The suit also claims that Microsoft and Bungie knew about these problems but shipped the game for release anyway.
The lawsuit seems more aimed at attacking the reliability issues of the Xbox 360, which have caused massive headaches for Microsoft already.
Nunez is seeking $5 million in total monetary compensation.

I don't remember the XBox 360 ever costing $5m, even including Halo... On what grounds does he believe he should get $5m?!?
Because of the ongoing trauma of not being able to experience the wonder that is Halo 3, and the life long therapy it will require.
It's completely understandable, considering he may be one of those persons who spends their entire waking life trawling every website they can for information on the upcoming Halo 3 release, from the point of Halo 1's announcement onwards, then upon it's release spends the remainder of their life sat on a toilet with the TV/Xbox in front of them, and a phone handy to order pizza.

Ah! Why of course!
Had the same problem with my xbox can i have 5m?????
mass effect repeatedly causes me issues.... can i have 5m?
Hi all,
Maybe Randy is a professional gamer like Jonathan Fatal1ty Wendell. Then seriously $5 million could mean lost tournament wins, sponsership loses, lost endorsements... My god I am really starting to feel Mr Nunez... Perhaps THG could start a hardship fund for him to struggle by on till he gets the $5 million...
Also maybe if Randy stopped sweating so much like a total pig and opened some windows, or got some decent aircon, his Xbox 360 would stop overheating so much!! Also if he took regular breaks like every 20 hours or so that would stop the strain on the Xbox system...

Its a class action suit probably, not just this one guy. He's probably the originator and figurehead. He probably has like 10000 or so folk joined in with him
