Hacker Boot Camp opens in Dublin

by - source: Tom's Hardware UK

With the opening of Hacker Boot Camp in Dublin’s City Centre earlier this week it’s probably safest to stick to website’s “only by knowing your enemy can you defeat them” disclaimer for the moment.

The Hacker training facility will run until the 11th of December. The course is four weeks long with two, two hour classes per week.

The boot camp promises to open your eyes to what network security really is (an illusion, apparently), learn how to penetrate defences, move behind enemy lines and avoid getting caught.

The topics covered are harmless enough at the beginning of the course with week one through four covering introduction -The Hacker Mind, Recon -Intel, Social Engineering -The Human Element and Auditing -Use The Source. Week five and six, Attack ! and Abusing Trust are a little more suspicious.

Boot Camp is also offered in a condensed form performed on-site for offices etc. The course costs €840 but is offered at a 50% discount for students. Registration can be done through the Hacker Boot Camp website.
