HTC Evo 3D Coming September 6 to the UK
The HTC EVO 3D is preparing for landing in the United Kingdom. The 3D-equipped phone is now up for order through Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy's online channels.
Back in July, it seemed the fate of the HTC EVO 3D hung in the balance. While Vodafone had initially signed up to carry the device, the company later announced that it no longer had plans to do so. With no one else on board to stock or carry the EVO 3D, it looked like we might never get the phone. However, HTC was quick to put an end to rumors that it would not be arriving in the UK at all; on July 29, the company confirmed that Carphone Warehouse would be carrying the device in September of this year.
Well, today both Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy UK opened up orders for the smartphone. The asking price for the SIM free model is £599.95. Alternatively, you can get the phone on contract with Vodafone, Orange, O2 or T-Mobile for free with contracts starting from £36. According to TechRadar, online orders can be shipped next day, but you'll have to wait until September 6 before you can buy one in person. If you're looking to get the device SIM free and for a significant discount, head on over to Amazon.co.uk, which is selling it for £499.
Unveiled at CTIA Wireless in Florida earlier this year, the monstrous HTC EVO 3D boasts a dual-core Snapdragon (clocked to 1.2GHz), a 4.3-inch glasses-free 3D display and dual 5-megapixel cameras.
