HSBC e-payment system cops out for nearly three days
Retailers are today making noises about the HSBC’s e-payment system outage over the weekend.
Apparently the system copped out on Friday and stayed down for the entire weekend. Not only that but retailers are also saying that the HSBC didn’t really do much to let them know about the problem. Ohh, er.
With many retailers relying on the HSBC to provide a payment method so they can sell goods online it’s no surprise to learn that some people are a bit ticked off this afternoon.
The HSBC is favoured over competitors because of the speed at which payments go through.
According to the Register, several companies are seeking compensation for losses incurred over the weekend.
