If you can cast your mind back as far as Mobile World Congress in February, you might remember HP's launch of a tablet called the Slate 7. HP said at the time that the Slate 7 would launch in April of this year. Well, here we are, in April of 2013, and you'll never guess what's going on sale in the UK. Okay, maybe you will.
According to HP's UK website, the HP Slate 7 is now available for purchase in the UK for £129. Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and boasting a 7-inch display (in case the name wasn't a massive tip off as to the size of the screen), the Slate 7 boasts a resolution of 1024x600, a Rockchip RK3066 SoC with a 1.6 GHz dual-core CPU, a 3.15-megapixel camera with a VGA camera up front for video conferencing. It's got a microSD slot with support for up to 32 GB as well as 8 GB of internal storage, Beats Audio, WiFi, and a removable battery.
The tablet is available now from HP UK but a quick gander at Google Shopping reveals its also available at Currys and PC World.
