German IT administrator holds Google's babies hostage, demands job

by - source: Tom's Hardware UK

A German network administrator has devised a plan which he feels is guaranteed to land him a job with internet giant Google.

Sebastian Klein is holding eight Google-related domain names hostage but has no intention of blackmailing the company for an extortionate amount of money.

All Sebastian wants is for Google to show a little love. “I would not like to keep these domains, earn also no money with it. I return it to you immediately free of charge. All I seek for is a job at Google.”

The network administrator has set out terms and conditions for employment in a public letter which he published on each of the sites and has thoughtfully posted it in 10 languages.

The terms Mr Klein set out are not unreasonable, however, the fact that he hasn’t been offered a job with Google makes them seem a little cheeky.

Klein demands that the company fly him home to Cologne, Germany, every weekend so he can be with his daughter. While he is flexible on the matter, he insists his time away from Germany, uninterrupted, must not exceed three weeks. He also demands to be paid well and has asked for a job specifically in IT. An internal auditor for security IT, don’t you know.

A Google spokesman commended Kleins creativity but advised him that the old C.V. approach would probably be best. Couldn’t agree more.
