First benchmark and first comment: the 8800 GT 256 MB performances fluctuate. Filters disabled and in 1280*1024 and 1600*1200, it manages to obtain 83% of the performance of the 8800 GT 512 MB, and stays slightly ahead of the 3850.
However, it doesn’t appreciate the move toward 1920*1440 or the use of antialiasing, more so than the Radeon HD 3850, which has the same amount of memory, but takes the lead. Performances are interesting in 1280*1024+filters as they still allow one to play, which isn’t possible beyond that point.
