Turn Your Droid Into a Portable Gaming System
Turn that Motorola Droid into a portable gaming machine!
Alright let's face it: while Verizon promoted the Motorola Droid as the "iPhone Killer," the Android platform so far hasn't offered much in the way of gaming. The Android Market isn't clean and tidy either, making it difficult to find something exceptional and "hard core." Really good games are hard to come by, and because the Market is addressed to multiple devices, fumbling with a game designed for a smartphone keyboard can get downright annoying.
For the emulator lovers out there however, here's a device that can help: the Droid Game Gripper. This awesome little device takes control of the Droid's built-in keyboard and actually places the directional button in the correct place: to the left. The add-on gadget also provides an additional eight buttons to truly mimic a portable gaming system (well, old-school that is). This makes it ideal for the many console emulators currently available on the Android Market.
"The Game Gripper is easy to use, you just slide it on," the product description reads. "It is designed to work with any of the game system emulators on the Android Market (GameBoid, SNesoid, Nesoid etc) but could also work with any other games that let you map out your own buttons."
The device costs a measly $14.99, and can be purchased here. Check out the video below to see this add-on in action!
