£110 Galaxy Y Smartphone Hits Vodafone
Samsung's budget smartphone, the Galaxy Y, is officially available on Vodafone.
At the beginning of September, Samsung took the wraps off several new Galaxy smartphones. Among them was the Galaxy Y. Under the company's new naming scheme, the 'Y' stands for 'young' and this phone is definitely a little brother to the other Galaxy models in terms of specs.
Aimed at a younger audience and emerging markets, the Y is definitely not a powerhouse. However, boasting a 3-inch QVGA display, 832MHz CPU, a 2-megapixel camera, microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, GPS, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top, it's a decent little phone that will fit right in as a budget smartphone or an entry-level device for teenagers.
This week, the cheap smartphone hit Vodafone with pricing that should please more economical customers. The handset is free for customers signing up for plans priced at £10.50 per month and up. For those that don't want a contract, this baby will set you back just £110. Not bad, not bad at all.

If this is a competitor to the HTC Wildfire then I think it can do pretty well as that model is still ~£150+
