No Galaxy S2 HD for the UK
The 4G phone won't becoming to the UK after all.
First revealed in September of last year, the Galaxy S2 HD is a beefed up version of the Galaxy S2 that boasts a slightly larger 4.6-inch 1280 x 720 display, a 1.5GHz CPU, 4G and NFC support. Sadly, it looks like Samsung has no plans to release the phone in the United Kingdom, so if you've been holding out for a Galaxy S2 HD, the dream ends here.
Strangely enough, the news comes after an advert on Mobicity.co.uk got everyone's hopes up. Recombu reports that the site displayed an advertisement for the Galaxy S2 HD just last week. It was pulled pretty quickly, but we didn't think that this meant the phone wouldn't arrive in the UK at all, just that someone at Mobicity had pulled the trigger a bit too soon. However, Samsung has confirmed that the phone won't be coming to the UK.
The good news is that with the likes of the Galaxy Nexus already available, and phones like the as-yet-unconfirmed Galaxy S3 on the horizon, there are plenty more fish in the sea.
