Galaxy Nexus Now Available Bug-free on Vodafone
Vodafone now selling Google's latest Nexus-brand smartphone.
The Galaxy Nexus got off to a bit of a rocky start, thanks to volume bug that affected the phone when the radio was switched from 3G to 2G, or in areas of poor signal. Around the same time that users started seeing this bug, Vodafone put off its launch of the phone saying it was still testing the phone to ensure users got the best possible experience.
Though the network never actually confirmed the volume bug was the reason behind the delay, the company has thrown further weight behind that theory by releasing the phone just a day after Google started rolling out a fix to users. The Galaxy Nexus costs nothing up front if you're willing to jump on a £41-a-month two-year plan with the network and this includes 900 minutes of call-time, unlimited texts and 750MB of mobile data.
The UK was the first to get the Galaxy Nexus and just this week the device arrived in Germany. It will launch in North America with the Canadian release on December 8. The U.S. is expecting to see the phone around the same time, though no official announcement has been made.
