Fujitsu introduces LifeBook U1010 UMPC

Fujitsu on July 17 unveiled its first UMPC (ultra mobile PC), the LifeBook U1010, in Taiwan, with the company aiming to sell 600 units a month when the device becomes available at the end of this month, according to sources at Fujitsu Taiwan. The U1010 UMPC, or a so-called mobile Internet device (MID), is based on Intel’s McCaslin ultra mobile platform, features an 800 MHz A110 processor and 1 GB DDR2 memory, and supports 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth technologies, according to company data.
