It's a Fermi Blowout! Win A GeForce GTX 480!
Palit is giving away three Fermi graphics cards to select social network users.
Our friends over at Palit have launched a contest that could put a hot-n-tasty GeForce GTX 480, 470, or 465 graphics card into your hands. Contestants merely need to hit the company's three social website pages and show a little love.
The contest actually started Tuesday, and will run on through August 16, 2010. First prize is the GeForce GTX 480, followed by the 470 as the contest's second place prize, and the 465 as the third place prize. Palit is also offering a "mystery" fourth place prize (no, they won't tell us save for that it won't involve hamsters), and five other complimentary prizes.

If I win, will I have to pay taxes, report the prize and its value?
Too bad I hate Social Networking...
Wow a new low for toms supporting this rubish
Zzzzz....
Eh, so much effort, rubbish.
I got ATI... Ugh that's as close as I'm going to get to writing 'I got game'. No way am I supporting NVIDIA after they've annoyed me for so long. They can keep ther Fermis.
No information to support this but I expect it'll be US and Canada only.
What's more, WTF was the point putting it as a Shockwave object? You can barely scroll down on it with any speed, and all the links can quite easily be achieved with a standard HTML document.
You people could bitch about anything!
Every comment here proves that when given a choice to say something, most people will just complain.
Sad, really.
Yet you're complaining about complaining.
I'll enter it anyway even if all I eventually do, should I win, is sell it - I doubt my PSU could handle it and it'd definitely be CPU limited.
The vast majority of competitions plus deals posts are US and Canada only and are still posted on the UK mirror despite their irrelevance. I know Toms are trying to recruit a UK writer (not necessarily UK-based) but until then, there won't really be any cleaning up of such articles. The userbase here will naturally find it hard to believe that there's something they can take part in - it's just being realistic.
My complaint is purely about Palit's page. For some daft reason, it even makes an E7500 sweat.
Palit giving away some cards is great, but they've neglected to inform us whether us Brits can actually enter or not.
^^^ Agree big time!
