Italian police turn to Facebook for help with murder investigation
Italian police have turned to social networking site Facebook in an effort to find the murderer of 21 year old language student, Meredith Kercher.
The British student was studying Italian in Perguia, Italy. Meredith Kercher was found half naked in her bed with her throat slit the day after Halloween. The post-mortem revealed evidence of sexual activity before she died.
Police are using the popular site, frequented by Ms Kercher, to track her killer. Friends of the student have been called upon by the police to help them identify any male friends which she has on the site as well as the people, particularly males, she is pictured with.
Meredith’s house showed no sign of forced entry and police hope that by identifying the recent additions to Meredith’s social circle they will reveal the killer.
