The Elder Scrolls IV updated for PS3 and Xbox 360
Rockville (MD) - Bethesda Softworks today announced that it has begun shipping a new version of The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion for the PS3 and The Elder Scrolls IV : Shivering Isles for the Xbox 360.
Oblivion has been out on multiple platforms for a while, and has been available for the PS3 since March. The new addition to Sony’s console is the Game of the Year Edition, which packs in additional content. One of the game’s notable points is its voice actor list, which includes Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, Terrance Stamp, and Lynda Carter.
Shivering Isles, which was released today on the Xbox 360, gives players a new planet to explore, as well as new characters, spells, and attacks. Bethesday says it brings more than 30 hours of gameplay to the story mode.
The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition came out last month on the Xbox 360. Microsoft’s platform has been the first non-PC console to receive each Elder Scrolls title so far. Bethesda has not yet announced if it plans to bring Shivering Isles to the PS3.
The PS3 GOTY Edition has a list price of $60, while Shivering Isles retails for around $30.
