Deus Ex 3 Dated, Bundles Revealed
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is slated to hit the Xbox 360 and PS3 in August, but there's no sign of the PC version.
Square Enix has announced the official release date of the long-awaited third installment to the DEUS EX series, DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION. The game is slated to hit the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 23, 2011. Unfortunately, there was no indication of when the PC version will hit store shelves.
"We are extremely excited and proud of DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION and cannot wait to finally let gamers experience this unique and captivating game," said Stephane D'Astous, general manager of Eidos-Montreal. "The team has worked incredibly hard these last few years to create an unforgettable universe which introduces franchise fans and new players alike to this powerful vision of the future, where the choices you make create your own personal gameplay experience."
In addition to the release date, Square Enix revealed the pre-order programs for GameStop and other retailers. In addition to the game, GameStop will provide the Explosive Mission Pack which includes an extra mission, a special grenade launcher, the M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED) and an automatic unlocking device.
Square Enix said that other retailers participating in the pre-order program will offer the Tactical Enhancement Pack. This will contain the Huntsman Silverback double-barrel shotgun, the Longsword Whisperhead silenced sniper rifle, a damage weapon upgrade, a reload speed weapon upgrade, and 10,000 extra credits. Honestly, the Tactical Enhancement Pack sounds like a better deal.
DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION will arrive this August in two flavors: the $59.99 Standard Edition and the $69.99 Augmented Edition. This latter version will include an extra 40-page Artbook, an exclusive bonus DVD (Making Of, Special Trailers, Animated storyboard of CGI trailer and Soundtrack), premium packaging and a motion graphic novel.
DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION tells the story of Adam Jensen, a man cybernetically augmented against his will who finds himself in the middle of a global conspiracy to which he holds the key. The game is set in a near-future world where humanity is at a turning point. By offering players the chance to play the game in multiple and vastly different ways, DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION "challenges the foundations of gaming and provides an immersive experience where every choice has a lasting consequence."
