Dell Announces Vostro 3000 Series With Nehalem
Dell's Vostro line is getting some Core i3, i5, and i7 love.
Dell recently launched the Vostro V13 business laptop. It was sexy, sleek and gloriously cheap. But, with options for a 1.2GHz Celeron, 1.3GHz Core 2 Duo or 1.4GHz Core 2 Solo with integrated X4500MHD graphics, many felt the notebook packed that little bit of extra punch needed to make it a real hit.
Today the company is adding to the line with the Vostro 3000 series, which boasts Intel's Core i3, i5 and i7 processors. The Vostro 3300, 3400, 3500 and 3700 range from 13- to 17-inches and are available with discrete graphics options, with a 1GB NVIDIA graphics option for the 3700.
Dell is touting the 13-inch 3300 as one of the industry's thinnest commercial 13" laptop with an integrated optical drive and the 14-inch 3400 is said to offer a full eight hours of battery life from a 9 cell battery. Both the Vostro 3500 and 3700 offer the option of high definition WLED screens and the entire line is available in bronze, silver or red. Pricing for the 3300 starts at $669 and the 3700 starts at $679.
Available today in the U.S. and parts of Asia, hit up Dell's website for more details on ordering.
