Basic Settings on the PC

The Media Center has to be configured in addition to the extender. You can find the appropriate setup wizard that will guide you through the necessary steps of configuring your PC under the menu entry Settings -> Extender. In order to unambiguously link the PC and the DMA 2100, you need to enter the same security ID generated by the Extender on the Media Center PC. During the configuration process, firewall and computer settings are adjusted as well. The Media Center also creates a new user with access to the extender on the PC. If you use an additional firewall, you will need to change its settings separately.

If you have a MCPC (or any HTPC) why not just plug it into your TV?
OK - this box is probably a bit smaller than an HTPC but $250 for a a bit of a smaller box?
The 2200 is just a reboxed, rebranded Kiss networked DVD player.
OK the TV streaming is new, but this is hardly earth-shattering innovation.
