Audio and video connectors are located on the back of the extender. In addition to the HDMI port, the DMA 2100 also sports analogue connections such as S-Video, composite/RCA, and component outputs. Being a network device, it also comes with WiFi, courtesy of two antennas, as well as a 10/100 MBit Ethernet port. Although there is also a USB jack, it is meant only for service purposes according to Linksys.
We found a familiar component on the circuit board inside the DMA 2100, namely the EM8822L-LF. This chip handles audio and video decoding and is also found in the Linksys Kiss 1600 A/V streaming client.

Why not use an XBox 360?
If you have a MCPC (or any HTPC) why not just plug it into your TV?
OK - this box is probably a bit smaller than an HTPC but $250 for a a bit of a smaller box?
The 2200 is just a reboxed, rebranded Kiss networked DVD player.
OK the TV streaming is new, but this is hardly earth-shattering innovation.
