Vodafone and 3UK Announce Plans to Carry New Curve
Not one but two UK carriers will be selling the Curve 9360 when it becomes available.
Network providers Vodafone and 3UK have both announced plans to carry the just announced Curve 9360. Announced by RIM this morning, the device is the latest in a new line of handsets boasting the Canadian company's new BlackBerry 7 OS operating system. Though neither carrier has offered a release date, we do know that the phone is hitting US network Sprint on September 9, so we can probably expect it to arrive sometime next month.
Packing a 2.44-inch HVGA+ (480×360) display, 800MHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 5-megapixel EDoF (Extended Depth of Field) camera with LED flash and VGA video recording, Bluetooth, WiFi b/g/n with UMA, GPS/aGPS and NFC, the Curve 9360 is definitely of a lower spec-quality than the BlackBerry 7 OS devices launched earlier this month. Still, it's important to remember that not everyone has the same needs and not all smartphones need to be superphones. Of course, that's assuming the pricing is fair. We'll update you as soon as possible when we hear more on that front.
