The iPod sock
Some of you might wonder why we have iPod socks in our Consoles and Accessories Guide. Well, the simple fact is, iPod socks are not just for iPods. In fact iPod socks very nearly aren’t for iPods at all.
Here at the office there are more iPod socks lying around than there are odd socks in a Laundromat. Fair enough, the Managing Editor and the Deputy Editor use them for their iPods [scratching precious commodity fetishised items makes us sad – Ed] but what about all those iPodless socks? Both the News Editor and one of our translators use them for their phones and Walkmen and neither of them own apple MP3 players (or phones for that matter don’t get us started on the iPhone or we’ll never stop). Our Deputy Editor also informs us that “at a pinch, you can fit a DS into an iPod sock”.
Still confused as to the point of this piece? Right, anything shiny you don’t want wrecked? Yeah, iPod sock it up, old school. Only problem is you have to buy them six at a time and they don’t really come cheap. You’re looking at £19 for a pack and these are socks for your iPOD. I don’t even pay £19 for socks for me. . .

This article might have been usefaul about 3 weeks ago but, with the problems of sourcing things like a Wii, this close to Christmas, it's just too late!
A very informative and handy review, but I have to ask - What about the PSP? I would have found this especially useful, considering the recent (ish) release of a thinner, lighter PSP. How could such a big ommission be made!?
I agree on the Wii score, you'll be hard pressed to find one now and it's just too late for it to be really useful.

Apart form that, I guess the PSP isn't too big an omission, I haven't really heard anyting about it since the release of the slim, and nothing too much about the games either. That might just be me though.
I really want to know what my chances are of getting a DS though, it just says I can find one easier than a Wii, but there's no real indication of how hard it'd be
