Citrix Unveils Receiver and Conference iPad Apps
Though we talked about the iPad being a great device for consumption in our live Q&A yesterday, we also talked about how it could be great for presentations.
Recognizing the iPad's potential in the business arena, Citrix has released versions of its GoToMeeting and Receiver applications specifically for the Apple tablet.
Most of you have probably heard of Citrix Receiver, an application that gives users to access their virtualized Windows applications (via XenApp or XenDesktop) through their iPad or iPhone.
The company also released a GoToMeeting app for the iPad. GoToMeeting is a teleconferencing tool that allows users share desktops, presentations, spreadsheets and slideshows.
Do you think there's a place for the iPad as a conferencing tool? Let us know in the comments below!

Why is about half of the news-updates on Tom's about the Ipad (and have been for several weeks)? For every person that cares I bet that there are 99 persons that don't. Garddarm propaganda...
That beautiful Tegra-powered Gemini would probably do a better job if you're talking specific hardware, but as an example of what can be done with the tablet form factor I don't see any direct benefit of conferencing on a tablet over a laptop or netbook.
Other than looking insanely cool, of course - and let's be honest that's why my gadget geek is screaming for a tablet.
