Carphone Launches New Unlimited Data Plan
Thanks to the fact that the world and its mother now wants to download Angry Birds and surf the web on the move, unlimited data plans are basically an endangered species. However, Carphone Warehouse has just announced a new, unlimited data plan for smartphone users and it starts at £12/month with the HTC Wildfire.
Carphone Warehouse yesterday welcomed a ‘never pay for the internet’ unlimited data plan for its TalkMobile network (which runs on Vodafone’s infrastructure). CW claims that based on a like-for-like comparison of the HTC Wildfire on a 24-month contract, the next best unlimited package is £360 more expensive.
Initially available for a month from 6 April to 4 May 2011, customers signing up will have a range of phones to choose from, including the brand new Sony Ericsson Xperis Play (£30/month). Cheaper options include the HTC Wildfire on the £12/month contract and the INQ Cloud Touch at £18/month.
