CW Giving Kindles Away with Phone Contracts
If you've been waiting for the right time to pick up an Amazon Kindle, now might be that time.
Amazon's Kindle is incredible popular and the company needs no help shifting units. However, that hasn't stopped Carphone Warehouse from offering the exalted ereader for free with certain purchases.
Carphone Warehouse has just begun selling the Kindle (WiFi-only model is priced at £111, while the 3G and Wi-Fi version carries a pricetag of £152), however, PC Advisor reports that the WiFi model is actually available for free when purchased with selected mobile phone contracts. Customers can also pick up the Kindle 3G with the same contracts for a one-off charge of £15.
In other Kindle news, the device is also now available from Best Buy UK but has yet to appear on the company's website. A search for "kindle" on bestbuy.co.uk leads customers to a page showing Sony's eBook Reader line and related accessories. The Kindle is also absent from Carphone Warehouse's website, but a company rep confirmed via Twitter that they have the device in stock at stores.
