Carphone Warehouse estimate huge first-day sales of iPhones
Carphone Warehouse has estimated that it will sell 10,000 iPhones on the day of it’s release alone.
The iPhone is set for release this week and is tied exclusively to O2 who are owned by Spanish parent company, Telefonica.
The touch screen phone will hit stores at 6pm this friday, the 9th of November. Stores are expected to stay open for an extra four hours to meet the forecasted demand for the new Apple device.
Apple has refused to say what kind of sales they think the iPhone will bag on it’s maiden voyage to Britain but Darren Gardner, head of wireless UK at Carphone Warehouse, says that with the late opening and the 800 stores in the UK they think the company will have no problem shifting 10,000 units.
