Las Vegas (NV) - We took a swing by the Lexar booth at CES to check out its Solid State Drive collection and a new color in its line of computer gaming memory.

Lexar last week announced its first line of Solid State Drives, released under the brand "Crucial". Today it was showing off both the 32 GB and 64 GB drives. They’re part of a select few in the industry to carry off that amount of storage with a 3.0 Gb/s specification within a 2.5-inch enclosure.

Also on display were Crucial’s expansive collection of PC memory, including a "museum" of sorts going from SDRAM to DDR3. The only news here is a special edition "Tracer Red" color in its line of Ballistix memory components.

Also announced this week were a new collection of Lexar’s SD cards tailored and designed for video game applications. The new cards include "Xploder Lite", a software pack that will auto-load things like game saves and even cheat codes. The cards work fully on the PS3, PSP, and Wii consoles.
