Bulletstorm Arrives with Nvidia 3D Vision Support
Here's another shooter for your 3D PC gaming needs, fresh off the Epic press.
Tuesday Nvidia announced that the PC version of the first-person shooter Bulletstorm from People Can Fly and Epic Games has arrived with support for Nvidia 3D Vision technology, offering gamers a blend of classic lip-biting first-person shooter action with stereoscopic 3D visuals.
"Bulletstorm shows how gaming can be transformed by state-of-the-art stereoscopic 3D into something truly breathtaking," said Tony Tamasi, senior vice president of content and technology at Nvidia. "UE3 with 3D Vision support provides unlimited possibilities for developers to add awesome 3D effects to all types of games, and the folks at People Can Fly have really hit this one out of the ballpark."
For those who have yet to pick up a copy of Bulletstorm for the PC, the elusive system requirements are as follows:
Minimum Requirements:
- Operating System: Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista (SP2), or Windows 7
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon X2, or equivalent, running at 1.6 GHz or greater
- Memory (RAM): 1.5 GB
- HDD Space: 9 GB available
- Video Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible, 256 MB of VRAM; Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS, ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro 256 MB, or greater
- Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible, 16-bit
- Disc Drive: 16X CD/DVD Drive
- Network: Internet (TCP/IP) connection
Recommended Requirements:
- Operating System: Windows Vista (SP2), or Windows 7
- Processor: Quad Core 2.0 GHz
- Memory (RAM): 2 GB
- HDD Space: 9 GB available
- Video Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible, 512 MB of VRAM; Nvidia GeForce GTX260, or ATI Radeon 4870
- Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible, 16-bit
- Disc Drive: 16X CD/DVD Drive
- Network: Broadband Internet (TCP/IP) connection
PC gamers wanting to take the Nvidia 3D Vision plunge will need the company's kit, a 3D Vision-ready display, a compatible Nvidia graphics card, and a capable PC with Windows 7 or Windows Vista installed. To learn more, check out Nvidia's 3D Vision requirements here.
"You cannot imagine how incredible it is to play Bulletstorm using 3D Vision," said Lukasz Migas, lead programmer for People Can Fly. "It brings the Bulletstorm world so close that you really feel immersed in the carnage and mayhem of the Skillshot system. You have to experience it. I did and I want more!"
Bulletstorm is also now available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles.
