Christian group reaching out to kids via their mobile phones
A company has developed a service which allows you to receive daily bible readings directly to your mobile.
Ecumen is a service provided by Teimlo Ltd., a company based in South Wales. Toimlo felt that there wasn’t enough Christian content available for mobile phones and think that young people will appreciate the chance to express and develop their faith through their phones.
Wallpapers available from Ecumen include Noah and his Ark, jesus walking on water, fish and loaves and other religious motifs. Some of the better known ringtones are Amazing Grace and Holy Holy Holy.
Ecumen offer subscriptions to daily prayers for 25p a day. The Bible is available for downloading in both the King James version and the English Standard version. Each version costs £6.
The service also aims to provide family-friendly mobile content and offer a range of non-violent games and ringtones and wallpapers which are not Christian themed.
