Ben Heck Makes a Xbox 360 S Slim 17'' Laptop
Mod God Ben Heck is showing off his latest creation: a modded Xbox 360 Slim that makes the new Microsoft console portable.
The Xbox 360 Slim is slimmer than its predecessor. Like most consoles, it's portable in that it's easy to throw it in the trunk of your car, but like most consoles, it's pretty unsuitable for mobile gaming. Thankfully there are people like Ben Heck to solve these kinds of problems for us.
This past weekend, Heck posted pictures and specs of his newest mod, an Xbox 360 Slim Portable, to his blog. Thanks to Ben's alterations, the console now boasts a 17-inch (1280 x 720) Gateway widescreen LCD display. For cooling, he adopted a fan grate design inspired by his PS3 laptop mod.
Mr. Heck says the Xbox 360 Slim Portable is different to his older models in that it's more compact (about 1.5-inches narrower from left to right and one inch narrower from front to back), features an internal power supply, and is much quieter than previous models. He's also managed to preserve the touch sensitive power and eject buttons of the console.

The name Xbox 360 "slim" was created and is used only by the press and fans - in analogy to the PS3 Slim. At no point has Microsoft refered to it as the Xbox 360 "slim".
And yes - this looks original. I can immagine people wanting to have it. Just like that desktop PC, with the built-in Xbox.

therefore it is easy to assume the s means slim as this is what all revamped consoles get tagged with
