Wii Sports cleans up at BAVGA game awards
Wii Sports may just be a game that comes free with the console but it has cleaned up big time for Nintendo at the BAVGAs.
The British Academy Video Game Awards was held in London last night and the hit title aimed at casual-gamers took home awards for best multi-player game, best gameplay, best sports title, best strategy and simulation game, most innovative game and best casual gaming experience
The acclaimed sports simulation game allows players to play a number of different sports including golf, bowling, tennis and baseball.
Wii Sports however, failed to beat the August released Xbox title, Bioshock, in the Best Game category.
As it happens, no PS3 game was awarded with a BAVGA, with PS2 titles, Okami and God of War 2, stepping up to the plate for Sony by bagging awards for artistic achievement, original score, best story and character as well as technical achievement.
