On the 7th of December 1941 Japan launched a surprise attack on the US Navy’s Pacific Fleet docked at Pearl Harbor. That’s just about all the historical background knowledge needed to play Attack on Pearl Harbor, an arcade combat flight sim from Legendo Entertainment in the vein of Crimson Skies (with a slightly more historical background).
Players are given the choice of playing a Japanese or American pilot in the campaign. Should you choose to play as a yank you’ll immediately tasked with (near single handedly) stopping the Japanese assault on Pearl Harbor. This task is of course practically impossible, with Japanese fighters and bombers streaking in seemingly infinite waves. It’s a bad note to open a game on, but it’s worth hanging on.

WWII planes did have radar. Well a few British planes did.
A few Spitfires has it as did the Bristol Bomber. Probably more too.
I second that - Spits didnt because of the engine up front but night fighters like the Blenhiem and the Mosquito did, and some later twin engined German aircraft did too.
Ahh, but every plane under the sun? It's an arcade addition, is the point I think he's making.
