Apple updates iPod Classic, Nano with 1.0.2 firmware
Cupertino (CA) - Apple has released a new firmware upgrade for the current generation iPod Classic and iPod Nano, available now through iTunes.
In true Apple form, details about the update are not officially given. However, the update appears to enhance the user interface of the devices’ "cover flow" feature, which allows users to virtually scroll through albums in their music collection. Gizmodo reports that it now more closely resembles the same feature used on iTunes.
The new firmware, version 1.0.2, also fixes a couple miscellaneous flaws with syncing, and deals with resolution problems when linking up to a TV.
The updates for each device can be downloaded by linking the iPod to a computer and following the instructions on iTunes.
