Here's something you probably never thought you'd see: Steve Jobs playing Franklin D. Roosevelt. Network World reports that the following clip from Apple was shown in 1984 at a sales meeting in Hawaii. Designed to get Apple's sales teams all fired up, the video is titled 1944 and stars none other than Steve Jobs as Franklin D. Roosevelt.
The video carries on the same theme that we first saw in Apple's famous '1984' commercial, which aired at the Super Bowl, and apparently cost Apple $50,000 to make. It tells the story of Apple's war against IBM, which was also the target of its '1984' commercial.' Network World obtained a copy of the video from Craig Elliott, who was working at Apple at the time but is now the CEO of Pertino Networks.
