International Price Adjustments Mean Pricer iOS Apps for UK Customers
iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners should prepare themselves for higher prices in the App Store.
UK iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users are set to pay higher prices for apps in the Apple App Store than their counterparts across the pond. Cupertino-based Apple yesterday introduced price adjustments in international stores that resulted in the increase of UK pricing.
MacWorld reports that compared to the lowest $0.99 tier in the US, the lowest UK tier has risen from 59p to 69p. The next UK price tier used to sit at £1.19 but is now £1.49. The tier above that has risen from £1.79 to £1.99. Though customers are less likely to notice for cheapie apps, more expensive applications, like Final Cut Pro X, will be selling for a whopping £20 more than before.
We in the UK might be stuck with a 17 percent price hike, but we're not the only ones; Mexican and Norwegian customers have also been hit by the adjustments. However, not everyone has come out worse off. MacStories reports that Japanese, Swiss and Australian customers are enjoying lower prices thanks to the price adjustments.

Hmmm...That's a little weird.
The Pound has been hovering around 1.6 dollars (and less) for over a year, but the Euro has been gaining steadily on the Dollar, going from 1.2 up to 1.4.
Not exactly a massive jump...
So in reality Apple has just hiked the prices because it could. There's no justifiable exchange rate reason to it, they're just greedy.
The plannet is in economic turmoil and apple do this. BADDDDD MOVE APPLE!!!
)
People have less money in there pocket now than they did 18mths-24mths ago. Do you REALLY think they will be prepared to pay for apps that are increasing in price. The app store prices need to go down not up!!!
