TV Interactive Data claims that Microsoft’s "autoplay" feature in Windows which automatically starts an application after storage media is loaded into a PC violates several of its patents. The company sued Microsoft in 2002, seeking damages and an injunction barring Microsoft from further infringement. Microsoft recently flagged the case in its quarterly regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission.
