Google And OHA Urged To Set Up Android Certification Testing Center In Taiwan
The Department of Industrial Technology (DOIT) under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) will urge Google and the Open Handset Alliance (OHA) to set up a certification testing center in Taiwan in order to accelerate the development of Android-based handsets, according to Wen-jen Ho, director of Multimedia Technologies Laboratory (MTL) of the government-backed Institute for Information Industry (III). Ho made the remarks at a seminar on the latest development of smartphones jointly sponsored by the DOIT and Digitimes on June 25.
